Recruitment is all about people and finding the right people to work with Eden Scott who share our values and vision isn't always easy. However we are committed to our principles and to working with people who know that this business is about relationship building, safe in the knowledge that everyone we work with, candidate, client or consultant are more than a number. Graduate Programme Applications for the 2017 graduate programme are now closed. Any applications sent will be considered for the 2018 graduate programme which will commence in September 2018. Successful graduates will spend time in every section of the company learning how we operate, understanding a different approach to all aspects of our business from candidate acquisition, business development, marketing and finance. They will have exposure to all 20 of the markets we work across before settling on a department at the end of the process. Throughout the process there will be regular development opportunties with our Lunch and Learn sessions to ensure they have every opportunity to become leaders in their field. We very much see our graduates as the future of our business who will grow and lead us onto the next stage of our development. Good luck to them all, great to have you on board.  Michelle Lownie, Founding Director, Eden Scott   Meet Our Graduates Freya Mortimer (University of Edinburgh) About me: I am originally from Aberdeen and completed my undergraduate degree in SociologyInternational Relations at the University of Aberdeen. I moved to Edinburgh last August and completed an MSc in Social Research at the University of Edinburgh. My mum worked in a record shop when I was growing up so I’ve always been very into music and films and try and see as many gigs and movies as possible; makes me a good asset for a pub quiz! I am now learning to cook and create more complex meals than the average student dinner! I love exploring and am looking forward to a bigger budget so I can explore more. Looking forward to: I’m very excited about joining the Eden Scott team. After five years of studying and making coffee part-time (Starbucks barista) I’m ready to move forward in my career and work for a company who are engaging and keep things fresh and diverse.I think the chance offered by the graduate scheme to see all areas of the business is a great opportunity and I’m ready to get stuck in. I’m also looking forward to meeting a whole new team of colleagues! Finlay Hutchison (Newcastle University)   About me: I grew up just outside Edinburgh in North Berwick. I was schooled at North Berwick High School until the age of 16, at which point I moved to George Heriot’s School in Edinburgh. Following my time at school, I returned full circle to, Newcastle (where I was born) and attended Newcastle University. Here, I studied Business Management while balancing a busy life as part of the 1st team for University Rugby League and Golf. In my second year, I was Social Secretary of both societies, as well as Tour Co-ordinator for Rugby League and in my final year I was Treasurer for Rugby League. In 2015 I gained a full international cap for Scotland Rugby League men’s team against France in the European Championships, in Avignon. As a member of North Berwick Golf Club, I hold a playing handicap of 5. In my free time I enjoy going to the gym, playing rugby and playing golf. I am yet to decide whether I will continue playing rugby when I start work, but I am certainly excited about committing some more time to my golf. Looking forward to: Working within a flourishing company and learning from the experience and knowledge of others at the firm: and of course earning some money! Rosina May Geraghty (Napier University)   About me: I was born in London but raised in Malta. At age 2 my parents decided to move us out to Malta for a change in lifestyle and climate. I spent the first six years living on Gozo and then spent the following 12 years living on Malta attending both local Maltese speaking schools and an American High School. After completing my secondary education and obtaining the International Baccalaureate and American High School diploma, I decided to take a break from the hot weather and move to Scotland for University. obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Business Management with Marketing. Extra curricular activities played a large role in my upbringing and as a child I was always encouraged to try new sports. I participated in activities that ranged from Martial Arts to Jazz/ Tap dancing and at age 14 I became the Under 15’s Girls National Table Tennis champion in Malta. I still enjoy a game of table tennis, but spend a lot more time playing Tennis and Golf. Looking forward to: I am looking forward to joining a diverse and hard working team and having the opportunity to get to know each and every one of you as I learn and acquire new skills.
